Title: Dt2 fork replacement options??
Post by: twinrock on February 17, 2017, 11:02:42 pm
Hey guys i just picked up a 72 dt2..i think..its mostly pulled apart but all the important parts are there and cant see much holding me back with the exception of the forks.. they are badly pitted. At this stage i want to keep the cost down..and wonder if there is something more common that would fit..ie dt175 ag200..i want to try to keep the drum front end as id like to try and put it on vintage rego..thanks

If things become desperate, you might also look for RD250/350/400 fork.

34mm dia. but about 20mm shorter (I think).

Some new RD on Ebay are 21-3/8" Total Length so you may want to check originals.

Some RD's had 35mm so watch out for that too. Not all are 34mm
