Post by: Rosco86 on January 23, 2017, 10:32:58 pm
Left cr125 for a while and clutch plates are sticking. Any way to get working other than pull apart?

Hi Rosco, let the engine warm up a bit, then kick in first gear. Usually the Bike hobs a little forward and the clutch plates are free again.

putting the bike in gear and pulling it backwards (lever in)will normally do the trick

Get it rolling, then click into gear & give it a ride, pull the clutch a few times at moderate revs will do it just about every time.

Thanks guys, haven't come across the problem before on my maicos, but the son is keen to have a ride on the Elsinore so we will take it out for a little spin.

Sold my TY250 to a knob with the warning " The clutch sticks " .
He came while I was away and revved the ring out of it then stabbed it into gear.
Old iron water tank had a big dint in it.
