I spotted this mod in '81 Dirt Bike. Has anyone tried this? Results?
I have an extra damper tubes here so I'm thinking about trying it out....

I rode a 350 moto villa which had the stock damper holes brazed and new ones drilled. excellent performance from aset of corte cossa's

This a old mod . If you have the Factory Maico Information Bulletins you will find this Mod.
Try 10 wt oil. Use Ariete Fork SEALS. Must Have a good Pressure Gauge. NOT a Tyre Gauge.

Nebo, with standard 81 490gs forks, what oil and pressure is a good base setting?

Start at 1/2 Bar or 7 psi . Do not exceed 14 psi or 1 Bar . Standard Oil amount and Level
Is per Manual.
Fork springs may have sagged. Make some 20 mm spacers from Alloy or High Impact Plastic .
Or Chippys Maico has new Ones. I think .47kg are standard. Heavy are .49kg. Will check.
Skill level and rider Weight is a big consideration.
