Title: How to speed up gumtree
Post by: Gippslander on December 22, 2016, 09:28:02 am
Was sick and tired of gumtree taking several minutes to load every time I looked at something, a pain in the backside.

My "IT person" recommended that I try "Opera browser" so I Googled that and downloaded it and at the start it had a button that says "no ads" so clicked on that and crikey it was like getting off the old triumph metisse and hooking around the track on a 2016 Husky 2 smoker

Gumtree is now my favourite have a look and waste time site

The favourites system is a strange but no different to riding a left kicker, just gotta get your head around it.

Yeap way to go boys. Dont fear a new browser. Just dont make it your default until your sure. I settled on Chrome with add blocker Pro installed. Happy days. Everything is quicker than lighting. Including Photo Bucket. True. Have a safe one all.

There are ads on Gumtree? I've been using adblock plus for years in conjunction with NoScript and it is a good setup.

NoScript takes a little more getting used to and also demonstrates the lengths some websites go to create their content, which is interesting, but ultimately, it provides a solid level of protection if you have half a clue.
