Yes I agree GMC, but I've always had the thought that I was undeserving and its only now the kids have grown up and I've moved on from a 20 year bad marriage 6 years ago and found someone special and supportive. That I'm finding myself again and I suppose the triumph is just one more stepping stone. jimson

So I've taken the Triumph in for its first service 800 klms and I noticed in the book, its not due for another service until it has 16000 klms on it. I asked at the bike Shop and they said yeah, Triumph has faith in there engines. Thats a lot of Ks without an oil change ? jimson

Triumph are releasing a bike next year that looks like a Harley

Well someone has to because Harley don't anymore.  :o

Congrats! Got divorced meself about 8 years ago. And remarried about 2 years ago.

One of the things I changed was not allowing myself to be in a position to have to ask permission to spend some of my hard earned on stuff that I like.

I still get yelled at of course. I just don't ask permission.

I'd say we've settled into a comfortable understanding on the issue.  ;D

my reno vans 30k oil changes, not gunna happen,i'm too old school for that, upsetting their computa  programing,i requested oil/filter changes at 15k intervals, so just for piece of mind Garry,go the intermediate oil changes, cant kill it with kindness??, :P

Doesnt make sense does it? I do mine every 5000 and filter at 10.
My thinking is with modern engines  running hotter the oil would degrade sooner though perhaps with full synth stuff this isnt the case? Dunno but I like old school thinking .

Thanks for your input, I'll be doing it every 7000 klms I think. It'll be interesting to see how long it takes me, to put that on the clock. jimson
