The top of the fork legs appear to be loose in the top triple clamp.
The fork leg steps down from 36 to 35mm at the top clamp. The lower clamp is snug on the fork leg but the top one is loose and even if it is tightened up the clamp doesn't seem to hols the fork tube evenly.
According to ZEDDER the RM250/370A and B use the same top clamp. A few people have indicated that this is a common issue
Any experience here?
Thanks
Brent

If the top clamp (which should be 35mm ID) is not tightening on the fork leg then its probably a 36mm ID one from 77 RM125 or 78 RM250C which both look identical to the 76-77 RM/PE250 top clamp. Only difference is the 35mm vs 36mm. I have never heard of any clamping/loose issues with these before.

Thanks Leith,
I'll have to settle for some 0.5mm shim stock for now

At one point i was going to use 35mm top 77 forks in 36mm 78C2 clamp as i wanted the rubber bar mounts and i was going to fit a .5mm stainless sleeve but then i changed my mind and decided to keep it all pre 78.
