Title: IDeas on what this could be ?

Got an email from a chap asking if i wanted to buy this bike , no fotos but he thinks its a YZ250 ? has no idea of the year and cant find any numbers, i have asked for pics but none forthcoming.

I can think of a few but any one this sounds familiar too if you where to describe it ?


"can't see the engine or frame no., been stuck in the garden shed for a while.
It is white with black & red graphics on the tank."

Now it could be spray can painted, peice of crap made with Aussie inginuity, but i thinks i NEED to get my arse over there and see this thing for myself. 

IF its only got one ill get a photo if its still light when i get there and offer it up if any one wants it
im thinking  C or d if it has a steal type tank.  unles its a  Dt bastard version

MX-B, YZ-B, YZ125C.
Or maybe YZ-K/L/N/S.

But based on my experience with this type of description, I wouldn't be surprised to find that its a blue, monoshock DT175...

i agree, i hope its a yama. but likewise its probaly a TS 125 with $2 shop paint can work, and old speedo mount and Light ears pianted black with rusting chrome and a TExta used by a 5 yr old to right Yammha on the sides.

Called him back as i couldnt get out there and had he checked again for serial # to make it easy for me, then let slip the fatefull words " cant see it, the tacho cable and stuff.............  after my jaw dropped and another tell me does it have this and this, the YZ he was sure he had can be nothing more than DT 250 enduro............    PUnters  PFffft.   least i saved the gas out there so thats a bonus. although h mentioned he had a BSA triple, so that might be worth the drive, but its probally a Cota.
