a mate has a PE 250 Z which he thought was an x until Mr McHanic tore it down then noted it had the z clutch and other slight changes. following a bit of a crash and the realisation that he likes old British iron, (he has purchased a 500 "swift") the PE is for sale. he has asked me to put it up here as a start. anyone want a pe 250Z? no ides of value... judging from the money spent on the Swift ..(swiftly emptied the bank account :o) he would Need 20,000k but I think he will be in the realistic ball park of 3k or so. all comments invited..Ha.. note to self, must check how much he actually wants.....
right.. the important part, reco engine top to bottom. new carb, new shox, new seals, new bearings where needed, chain & sprox good, new brakes etc pretty much sorted. new throttle housing and cable, new muffler. not a bad jigger to ride.
pm or reply here if this might float the boat. I have some pics on email

Hello Husky, What is the differance between x & z clutch ?Cheers Mark
-
excellent question and we will need a Suzuki enthusiast to tell us the answer. I only know the clutch is different as when ol mate got the motor rebuilt, mr Mc Hanic (one of those Suzuki enthusiast's) said "its got a z clutch"

It wont be anything major/significant. Download Z parts book from the One drive here

Off the top of my head the Z came with the newer pressure plate that is from some of the GS? road bikes with the additional holes drilled for light weight/more oil to get in. Same plate upgrades TS250 clutch too so thats what i am fitting. I 'think' the clutch center maybe different. I seem to recall an updated bearing in there somewhere but its been ages since i have studied the Z parts book so might be wrong. Anything new in the Z upgrades the T/X anyway.
