I see them advertised. But that doesn't mean they are selling for that.
No judgement on it in any way. Just curious.

occasionally for the right bike (specific model in vg original condit or immac resto) and the right buyer (collector-well heeled)
-
try getting a ccm for that

I just got a mate that & half again for an unrestored dirt bike (1975 model). The money is out there, the trick is having the right bike for the right buyer at the right time, restored or not.

Mate got $5500 for a nice 1983 WR240 Husky.

I'm with Big K,right bike, right buyer, right time.......anything is possible.Personally I think VMX( particularly pre75) are too cheap, especially when compared to race cars! Try getting a 1975 v8 Torana for 10K let alone a race car.Interesting the thread covers CR250Ms......I have four......so I'm happy if they are so called expensive lol

Good CR250M is worth 12K+ US in the states.

yer right, thanks

certainly not the US prices I have been seeing - where everything is significantly cheaper than here? Check out Joe Abbates FB page re prices etc.

I think that 12K is red book value or RADA or whatever its called.......in oz there is generally a ceiling of around 5k cash for raceable bikes though I have sold yz360bs for 5 ,7 and 8.5 K in the past couple of years.......
