Title: YZ 125G/H
Post by: D project on October 28, 2016, 02:05:36 pm
Just starting a resto on a 125G. How much is interchangeable between the G and H.
I'm chasing a few bits eg swing arm, air of,rear wheel,shock mudflap.
These are a straightforward swap?

H swingarm fits straight on and is a good upgrade.
H wheel obviously fits straight into an H swingarm.

Pretty certain that the airbox and shock mudflap are the same, but it's been a long time since my brain has been in YZ125G mode.

Are you sure about the cranks being the same Pete? I've never compared them side by side and I see that the LHS carries the same part number but the RHS is a 3R3. If they're the same I wish that I'd known this a while back as it could have saved me some coin.

Here's my 125G, that has 125H front & rear end (with 250G triples), airbox (has better mount), cdi. the wheels are the same. D project, you could save yerself some time and take it off my hands  :)

The cranks now in the bike and I haven't seen another nos one come up in the past 3-4 years. I  got it as I couldn't find a good used one, so keep you're eyes peeled.

Sorry Crikey but I'm not sure I could put a price on it or am really ready to let her go yet.

Woody, I was wrong. I looked at Crank 2 and not the whole unit. The weird thing is that the separate halves are use in IT175's to YZ100 but the full crank is;

This Yamaha 3R3-11400-00-00 CRANKSHAFT ASY is used on these models and components:

 1980 YZ125G CRANKSHAFT - PISTON YZ125G

 1982 YZ100J CRANKSHAFT - PISTON

 1983 YZ100K CRANKSHAFT-PISTON

Sorry for the mis-information. We learn a little each day.
