Just picked up a new toy (not VMX, a new 2017 KTM350EXC), and with the current climate of bike thefts thought this one needs to be insured. A bloke told me about Youi insurance being reasonable for rates and good support when he made a claim after his bike was knocked off. I gave them a call, actually get to speak to someone in Oz that you can understand, the price for full comprehensive insurance- (because of the purchase price they wouldn't just do fire and theft which was originally what I was after) - was only $215 per year, $19.90 per month ! That works out at $4.60 per week, less than one cup of coffee for those inclined to do so, or less than one pot at the pub (which is much better than the coffee option )...

Are you getting a commission?
Really I would check Shannons out. They support our sport with sponsorship.

and Shannons will insure for everything except when under its own power being used. And cheap.

Totally agree with this sentiment. I insure with Shannons and it is great value, and have purchased 4 vehicles from Maitland Mazda because they supported the Vintage Mr Motocross. Would much rather give the business to the companies that support our sport.

Getting a commission , really ? Just thought it may help other forum members who may have not thought about insurance. Fair enough Shannon's are probably excellent to deal with also, I was merely telling about an experience I had. In future I won't bother.

My "commission" comment was tongue in cheek, but I do think we should support companies that support us. This is how clubs get more sponsorship. If a company can see they are getting a return from sponsoring they will continue to do so.
