hmmm, how long is a piece of string Tom?
always difficult to say what they're worth in either condition but i guess it all comes down to whether or not the deal feels comfortable. if it's got a seat and tank still attached to it, then it'll always be worth a good quid cause you know the HL guys will always pay good money for those two items alone.
they're a great little bike and heaps of fun to ride though,
sorry i'm not much help and good luck with it!

Cheers for that tom but someone must have rough idea of what sort of value they are worth.

one of the guys on this forum recently sold one with rebuilt front and rear suspension and what looked to be a fresh engine for about $1000. It needed complete resto apart from the aformentioned components

How restored? Clean and tidy, or showroom?

Mine is a race bike, so its reasonable to look at but is no show pony - the tank is probably the main 'rough bit'. Mechanically its good, with a rebuilt motor and shock, good tyres blah blah.
The few people who I've spoken to about it reckon it'd sell for $1500~2000 on the open market (not that its for sale!).

Unrestored, the bikes are worth only a bit more than the value of the tank and the seat.... So around $400 to 1000 depending on how good and unmolested it all is. Obviously, a good original one will be worth more...
And a bike without seat and/or tank is worth SFA for all the obvious reasons.

Did you find a CR250m already or you are changing to a Y zinger. 125's are a great little thing. Ive CR, RM and YZ in 125cc. Their a lot of fun. YZ 125 C and X are both nice models. Seen them sell anywhere from $200 to $2000.

Tom,I sold a presentable 125x recently for about $1500.A good original resto 2000-2800?These seem to be a little down in value in comparison to cr,but like the others reckon if its got a good tank and seat ya cant loose.Matching numbers?
