Title: xlx motor into xr frame

a mate of mine has a 84 xr250 frame with a shagged motor, he has a complete 84 xlx bike. Is it an easy transplant. The end product is going to be used as a vinduro bike, not MX

Are you aware of the heads on those motors cracking? They are notorious for that. I have seen it a few times personally on those 83/84 XLX motors. They overheat easily too. I would at least check out the head first before jumping in too deep into the engine swap.
