Does any one have a photo of these folks that they would like to share ???

This one? I read somewhere Jimmy fell off after the impact. Can anyone confirm?
and on the classic MX photos can anyone post or direct me to the Roger DeCoster photo where he's draggin' the bars in a berm (a Bel-Ray sign is behind him)?
-
Wombat,
The video of that photo is on the 'One chance to win' DVD. I don't remember Jimmy falling. I will see if I can find it and check it out for you

Hey Jeff...After spending some time with McCook over the last few days, I've discovered he's a good friend of Tony D and reckons he's good value, even though he's in a wheelchair. He might be a good candidate for CD6 with the Suzuki connection and all.
-
Tony D's in a wheelchair? What happened?

I have that movie - maybe that's where I get the idea? :-\
I'll have to have another look!

Tim i think Tony D crashed while practicing for one of his schools after he retired and broke his back. He is also mostly blind in 1 eye from a workshop accident just before he retired from racing.
-
I didn't know that. It's very sad.
BTW, what happened to Steve Stackable? I know he was in a very bad microlight or car crash a few years ago.
-
I saw Stackable in an interview recently and he looks ok.

(http://i37.tinypic.com/jv43cz.jpg) Wombat This aint the belray shot, but its not bad anyhow.I always thought it was Rodger Decoster :-\
-
Yeah KB, it's similar. I think the Roger/Bel-Ray shot is a black & white.
I remember trying time and again to get that low in a corner but never could manage it.
On the odd occasion the bars got that low but they stayed there! Pick it up, try again... :D

End of the road for Cycle News Newspaper
A part of American motorcycle history came to an end today with the announcement that Cycle News Newspaper is closing it's doors.
Cycle News was founded in 1965 in Long Beach, California by future AMA Hall of Fame Inductees Chuck and Sharon Clayton. Cycle news was a staple for any motorcycle enthusiast, be it road, motocross, enduro or street the newspaper covered it all and became one of the highest selling newspapers/magazines in the industry.
The newspaper had fallen on hard times recently with the down turn of the American Motorcycle industry due to the Global Financial crisis and the huge growth in online media all contributing to it's demise.
After 25 years editor Paul Carruthers was let go three weeks ago and many in the industry predicted the end was near, which sadly was an accurate prediction.
Paul Carruthers wrote about cycle News' demise in a personal blog a few days ago: http://paulcarruthers1.wordpress.com/2010/09/01/cycle-news-r-i-p/
