Its a shame you have not invited the Brisbane M/C club , you'll not have the top riders from QLD. Suppose it stacks it so NSW can win something LOL
-
Graham,
Join one of the 5 clubs and come down , love to meet you.

At the end of the day I think they deserve as much participation and respect as they showed Brisbane Motorcycle Club with the Classic and Post Classic Australian Titles

I could be wrong, but I'd guess that if someone from a club that hasn't been invited wanted to compete, they would be accommodated one way or another.

Graham I have no idea who you are or what axe you have to grind but we have no axe to grind with any other club. Please don't make it out that way. We made no comment or took any actions toward BMCC regarding the 2016 title events regardless of what you may have been told.
We held a club day on the same weekend as the Post Classics which covered Pre60 through to Pre90. We removed our club championship point score from that meeting which is not our usual format. Our event was 1000Km+ away from the titles. Last year there were two Classic Dirt national titles scheduled on the same weekend.
The calendar this year was way too full over a few short months and was Qld centred but that was not our making or concern and there was nothing we could do about that. The Classic titles, Post Classic titles, Classic Dirt & Connondale Classic all squeezed into <3 months and during that period there were also school holidays which is never practical for VMX meetings. That makes it very hard not to clash with something you must agree.
Our club has never discouraged people from attending any meeting they choose but you are now trying to do exactly that. If you want to ride the Oct weekend meeting I am sure you can, if you don't that is also fine. This thread has been left open for comment as we usually lock them, this thread will go that way if mud slinging starts. That is not a threat but a reflection of why this site is slowly dying with less and less clubs posting. Sad but true.
Many many people say that they want the opportunity to have an enjoyable weekend with like minded VMX owners and riders well this is just such a chance. Something new and different for the VMX community so how about positive comments or none at all?
-
The maximum number of clubs to an Inter-club is 5. More than that number of clubs and it moves the meeting to a National level which increases complexity, costs and difficulty. Maybe next year if this one goes well.
-
I've been keeping an eye on this thread given some of the comments. Heaven VMX started this thread to promote an event and encourage participation. Please keep that in mind and also the intent of this forum, which is about enjoying the sport. I will delete any future negative comments.

Any idea of whether there are going to be separate races or separate pointscores for different capacities within the eras?
Ie: will Pre-95 be "all in", or will there be different races/pointscores for 125s, 250s, 500s and/or 4-strokes?
I'm not stressed either way, just organising what bikes to get ready/finished! :)
-
Each ERA will be All Powers. There are no specific 4st races.
The scoring for team results goes all the way down the field all riders can contribute to the team result.
A rider can enter a bike in two classic/post classic ERAs or one classic/post classic ERA and a Vets/open class.
EG a rider can enter their RM250B in Pre78 and also Pre82 or
enter their '93 YZ250 in Pre95 and a Vets class or
enter there '89 CR500 in Pre90 and a Vets class

At the earliest possible convenience could the Sunday night Presentation venue be announced due to the overwhelming requests for accomodation close by

There will be full canteen facility all weekend
Saturday - Breakfast & Lunch
Sunday - Breakfast & Lunch
Saturday evening there will be a hot dinner available from a Hastings club members catering business at the track.
Sunday evening there will be a presentation dinner with security offered at the track to secure your gear and transport to the venue provided.
Hope this is a really great weekend.
-
We can now confirm that the presentation dinner will be held at Wauchope
RSL Country Club which is <15min from the track. One dinner ticket is included in the entry for rides and extra tickets are available at $20. There will be a courtesy bus from the track to the Country Club and return and a security presence at the track during the presentation to ensure that your equipment is not left unattended.
Things are coming together well and it should be a great weekend. Hopefully the Sup. Regs will be out very soon. This is club/Inter-club level event so we have the maximum number of clubs confirmed as attending.
-
As of yesterday there are 5 rooms available for the Friday/Sat/Sun nights and 2 rooms for the Fri/Sun nights at Wauchope Motel which is also under 15 minutes drive from the track and 300 mtrs from the RSL club.
There is also exclusive reserved start straight pit parking. These sites are the length of your vehicle and trailer with a 6mtr width along the fence. Simply back your trailer in and put your shade to the side. There is only 6 left at $100 each. Even less if John Tate bothers to tell anyone. So be quick if you want the best viewing
ALL PARKING SPOTS SOLD. Heaven VMX thanks all those that took up this offer.

-
I've been asked if children accompanied by an adult are welcome at the Presentation? I have answered yes. Is this correct?
-
Yes mate most definitely?
-
Is the MA national licence ok for this event or do you need a NSW licence?
-
Yes that is perfect. We have had a few questions much the same. the National Senior licence can be used throughout Australia for all club, open and National events.
It seems that it becomes confusing that each SCB has there logo on the licence and indicates it is issued by an SCB which is correct but if you read the fine print (it is always in the fine print ;) ) It indicates that it is a National licence and is good for all MA sanctioned events meaning all events throughout Australia under MA or any of the SCBs
-
Done mine yesterday , only thing I got caught on to proceed to payment was a Heaven membership number . I just put in my race number and all good from there . ;)
-
The fine print below the Heaven Membership box on the form asks non Heaven members, Qld and Vic riders to enter 9999.
Bloody fine print ::)
-
entries are going well keep them coming.

Fastest Pre75 I have seen since weeeeelllll 1975. This young guy did the 3rd fastest Classic bike lap of the weekend on a 1973 YZ250. This video was the final Pre75 Moto on Sunday after he ran away with the previous two. It is worth a look
NSW rider on a Qld bike 8) ;D what a great spirit of sportsmanship 8)

I rekon he might have done a lap or two on a modern around there...you could tell where he brakes hard on the modern cos he left the track on the old girl :D
great vision and the sound of that zinger wailing away was great
-
He has never been to that track before that weekend and had never seen a bike that old let alone ride it. Very impressive
-
Does anyone have any footage from the sideline of this young bloke or any other from this meet ? Not getting picky and the gopro stuff is ok but it all looks the same imo and doesnt show the bikes/rider on the start or in fullflight -cheers -PS missed this meet cant wait for the next origin ????????
-
right...I suspected as much as he is riding it like a modern bike (complete with rev limiter action over the jumps), took a lap or so to twig the brakes!

I know what you mean RA77. It is difficult to get a bit of perspective.
By the Sunday a lot of Pre85, Pre90, Pre95 and many Vets were making their way to the spectator mounds to watch the Pre75s he was that inpressive.
During practice he was over-jumping the table tops and flat landing. He was sensible and mature enough to listen to people and from his second ride he was using the bike on the table tops perfectly. Have not seen a Pre75 throw large rooster tails like we watched on the jump down ramps since 1974 at Curro park when I watched Per Kitland and Brian Martin go at it 8)
I will see what I can chase up as far as videos go.
State of Origin is on again on the Oct long weekend at Port Macquarie this year. I have keard a whisper that Queenland and the Vics are already planning BIG things this year 8) 8) 8) ;D looking forward to it :)
-
Cheers greg ! certainly sounds like a great display of riding on an iconic 7&4 bike and your spot-on about per & brian both spectacular riders in their time
-
If anyone wants to see that 73 YZ go around get yourselves to Mountain Man at Toowoomba on the 11/12 March. Only this time it will have his faster brother racing it. You wanna see a short travel bike scrub and whip, be there.
