Title: Honda xr/xl 250 issues

G'day, what years were the 250 four valve engines having issues with cracked heads?

And was the 86 model a single carb with dual exhaust ports?

I think the '85?
could be wrong though.

All twin carb models had this issue, later 86 on models didn't

too true cyclegod   seen it on many a twincarb Xl and XR...mine being one back in the day

re and rf models, 84 85 with the rg being the upgraded engine, increased oil capacity, single carb.

A mate of mine has a 1989 xr250 he brought it a year back
For pre 90 racing and when doing the top end rebuild it had a cracked head .
