Title: 79 PE250 parts needed

Hello all ,lm chasing a kickstart lever , gear shift lever and the chain guard for front sprocket for my 79 PE 250 project , or if you haven't got any for sale can you let me know where's the best places to look for these parts ,Tks guys. Cheers

Kick lever is still available new at around $160-00 from Suzuki and so it the sprocket cover for another $100   ... a gear lever can be brought as an accessory item thru most M/C outlets ( MCS stock them )

Bought a sprocket cover for a 1980 pe175 a week ago, cost $36, made up the case saver myself. Also bought the gear lever from MCS as it is a coarse spline, cost $25.

Is it a course spline kick starter with a pinch bolt?

Hi guys. Is the pinch bolt considered to be the circlip?. My kickstart lever casually makes it its way back to the kickstarting position. I take it that the splines are worn out? This for a 78 pe250.

No the pinch bolt is a kick starter with a bolt that pinches the spline closed holding it onto the shaft.  The other type just slides onto the spline and an bolt that screws into the kick start shaft secures it.  Does that make sense?

Ah...yes that makes sense and very clear. Getting better with other basics though!
