spotted on another forum,guys ambo cover didn't for a helio flight,out of pocket $10K  :o,ouch,memo to self,must check fine print, :P

In Victoria if you a paid up subscriber there is no cost for air evac. However some folk believe they are covered under their health insurance which is not always the case. I would very much advise people to check. J

In Queensland we pay ambulance cover in our electricity bills apparently - does anyone know if this is sufficient cover or should QLDers take out additional ?

If you are paying an electricity bill (in Qld) you are covered.  However if you are coming from NSW check to be sure.  Refusing treatment won't work.
