Desperately seeking in time for classic dirt.
At least I haven't left it until the last minute ::) ::)
-
Don't quote me on it, but I had Wayne skyring around a few weeks ago and we matched it up with a Suzuki model .... think it was a Dr 400 or Rm 125 which are still available over the counter..
ring ring ring ..... Wayne ... time to chime in
-
I've had advice that RM125 A/B can be adapted, but I can't find one of those either (well at least team mofo couldn't find it)
-
Rm 125 b part number is 13110-41301 and is still available new ... for around $45-00.
google the part number to check :-)
-
Yep, I got that far. Available in Australia ?
team Mofo were no use to me. CMNSL have both ends available. Might see if I can get airfreight.
-
I know there in the US but they have the manifold you want.

try www.mikukioz.com/mikukioz tm hatrick give them a call
-
Thanks guys.
I will follow those leads. They make on that fits directly but it separated at the clamping plate after about 12 months. I though it should last longer than that. perhaps Suzuki make a better quality part :o ::)
I didn't know Hatricks dabbled in manifolds too ???
-
Do it the easy way and turn down the spigot diameter on the carb. I did that and with a little rubber removal it works very well.
-
Thanks Momus. Then the standard Keihen Manifold works (??)
-
Perfectly. Probably better than the big manifold. Do you have the bigger air box boot?
-
Yeah. I've got the bigger air box boot. Complete with GMC airbox 8)
Technical Question now : do the inlet and outlet spigots line up. I've only got a 3 jaw chuck. Sorry -not looking at the carb at the moment.
-
The spigots are close but turn with a live center supporting the work end. I bought one of the ebay boots. It is moulded urethane and was a poor fit. I had to give the carb end a tidy up. It was too thick and out of shape. When the clamp was tightened it would want to roll off.
-
I've ha d a similar problem. Obviously we've bought the same product. Mine kept rolling off the air box end. Not too cool especially if it comes off in a dusty environment :o :o

RM125A/B inlet, 16mm spacer between cylinder & inlet, RM125A/B air boot & you're away. The spacer adds low down (works really well). I'd load a photo if I knew how, send your email if you want a photo or two. Short of all that I've warmed a standard 125M inlet with a heat gun & squeezed a 30mm Mikuni in there.

Thanks Big K.
I've still got the emails you sent me. I started out looking for the one that bolts straight on. Now I've decided to go for the RM Version.
Once again I've left it until the very last minute.
Thanks everyone for your help. I think I have a solution.
Great information as always 8) 8) 8)

If you're turning the carb down make sure you turn a plug to fit in the end clamped in the jaws so it doesn't distort & try escaping. Voice of experience here unfortunately

Thanks Tony.
That's plan B. Plan A is to get a Suzuki one that works.
