Think cut chain to short.any one know recommended chain slack?
Thanks

when the swingarm is in a straight line with the centre of the front cog and swingarm pivot centre that's the tightest part of the chain I make all my bikes 15mm slack.

1 to 1.5 cm sounds right.
if you've bashed the rear wheel up against the front edge of the axle slots and you still cant join the chain...its too short.
if you've joined it and leaning on the seat it still tight, its still too tight. risk pulling the countershaft bearing apart.
if your stuck, get another joiner and put another link in

A loose chain has never snapped but a tight one has.

mmm..but a loose chain can come off and wrap around rear hub or worse still double up on the front sprocket smash the cases and bend the selector shaft...ah such fond memories! ::)
