Title: 1990 yz 250 frame
Post by: Sammundo on May 17, 2016, 04:29:16 am
hi guys. Just a quick question that i figure here may be the best place to find an answer.
I have a 1990 yz250 and im after another frame. I built it from parts and the frame i have has numbers, and while it doesn't appear deliberately tampered with, two of the numbers are difficult to read and may not pass scrutineering. Just wondering which other years had the same frame to broaden my search.
Cheers ta

If your talking about scrutineering for a pre 95 class, then you can use any frame up till 1994. You might have luck with a 91/92 frame, not 100% sure though.

Frame numbers are not usually checked at scrutiny, unless there's a reason to suspect the bike does not comply.
Even then, unless the "dodgy" numbers are ones that identify what year model it is, it's not a scrutineering issue.
