I saw in a recent VMX mag a comment that a pictured little 125 Montesa was quite a rare bike. Not sure if this is the same model or not but for all those Spanish lovers, maybe worth a look :-\

Sure is good looking

Cool bikes, had a few through my hands, not as rare as you'd think. A bit fragile but faster than most people report them to be.

ol mate left school (many many moons ago :-[) with his first pay check he bought the first bike he saw (got conned into)an older yellow 125 cappra. He got about 300 metres, just hit top gear on its first ride and it totally poohed itself. piston shattered, rod thru cases. a complete wreck. I never wanted a monty after that.... He saved several paychecks and bought a cool rm 125s. that was one great bike.

The bike for sale is a VA from '75/'76 but appears to have '77 VB125 swingarm. The 125 Monties from mid to late 70s have issues with big end bearing as the crank and rod was designed back in '70/'71 for the Cota 123 and was not upgraded much. Lyall used a Yamaha rod kit in his son's fast 125S and I know others have used Honda rod kits. I also had one in '77 which I couldn't keep a big end in. They do handle very well.

cool bike for sure.

I had one and was a cool little bike but yes it blew the big end just about every time I rode it. Was going to try the Honda rod but sold it cause I lost interest. Funny upside gear box in them also.
