Some days in your life turn into diamonds. During the week a gentleman rang me and offered me an Ossa Pioneer basket case for free. I thought why not, almost finished the Rickman Zundapp, no spare cash to buy anything, might at least have a look. My bottom jaw almost hit the floor when I got this

from what I can see it's paint, motor and electrics to be done

That bike was on Gumtree a coulpe of years ago, I nearly bought it.

Pardon my ignorance
But are these good things?
I have one in my shed and I know little about them?
So any information or opinions would be appreciated.
Cheers

a very reliable enduro bike back in the day

That's a great score. Can't beat the price. When I was a young kid my dad had a SDR. He owned it from 1975-1980. Then he moved on to his first four stroke, a XR250. I'll always have a soft spot for that bike. Good luck with the rebuild.

don't what ever you do split the motor with out taking carefull note of the shims on the crank shaft. do not lose their order and sequence ( like I did....)
-
thanks for that

read the manual on engine assembly and you will see how important that is. I wish i had RTFM'd
-
Just drop it off at my place Barry, you know it's too complicated for you!!
