After a decent barrel for a 1980-81 TT250. Hoping to find one on second or third oversize (for which I have pistons).
Also after a few other bits - front sprocket cover being one.

This one looks OK?

I had a sr250 barrel stated 239cc on the side instead of 249cc. It would pay to check before buying that one. Col.

Hmmm. That begs the question, can you bore the SR barrel out to all the TT sizes - get it back to standard?

Hole in top of crankcases is 82.3mm, assume this would be outside diameter of sleeve. I only have bottom end of sr250, don't have the barrel to measure. Hope this helps, Col.

Thanks Col, never know when that info might be useful. But good for the moment - local bike wrecker had a good XT250 barrel on second oversize, with serviceable piston and rings thrown in! Which is terrific, as will use my higher comp TT piston in it, and have a third over piston and ring kit for if/when.

are the 1984 barrels for the xt tt Dohc the same as 1991 Dohc jug
and are xt tt 250 Sohc same as the Dohc jug ?
thanx

Sorry, no idea about the dohc tt's. the sohc and dohc jugs are quite different - sohc has four compared to dohc's six barrel studs.
