Hi Boys,

Lookin' good Nagosagihooster! ;)
Am going for a ride this Saturday with Gator (yes the day is finally upon us...) and I'm trying out the 414 with the proper motor and a few other mods so I'll have a better idea after the weekend. Very lightly pencil me in...... :-\
thats great rossco ! best wishes sport, take it easy and don't let the adrenaline flow on the first ride.
so is the Gator gonna front the line at Blue rock on the RM400 or what? and are you going to lob down to Blue rock Paul?
PS... glad you recieved the entry Dawn. see you Sundee week
-
..... btw the kids are working on something big as we speak

-
Hilly, you take 4 cans CRC and i will take 4 and together we will spray them all over Gator as he is gonna be very Rusty ! ;D
-
I was talking to Rosscoe at the Black Duck and he made me promise not to take the piss out of Gator as he is very selfconsious or unconcious not sure which one !!!.
-
Hey Hoony the big banger is lookin smichk how did ya get all that crud off it from yanakie i reckon mine still has some of that on it.
-
trick is to spray CRC all over it before a muddy day that helps, next wash it as soon as you can after the ride before it stains. yes that was my last ride its been way too long between rides this year mate. off to work again sunday again but definatly free sundy week.
-
Paul.. Are you bringin any of your "DIRT" bikes out at blue rock????
Maicos need fresh air every now and then, or they will crumble in a heap on the garage floor ;D ;D
Hope to see you there buddy, If injured Ross can make it... well i hope you can too.
The Germans are coming yee haa
-
how you getting on Jimmy?
i suppose its still early days for you to have a ride yet or is it?
-
I am bursting at the seams to have a ride, i am keener than ever now hoony, but i am still a while away from being able to take the impact of a crash or any hard landing.. :-\ I tried to throw a tennis ball for the dog yesterday and i reckon my girlie arm nearly fell off :D So i have no chance at the moment to hold onto a big 2 banger.
Hows your little Gabrielle?
-
jimmy im might go and have a look al depends on what happening at home and ive heard ross has a new camera so ill be steering clear off him
-

-
Paul.. u ride.. i will video.. ;) Should be a cracker of a day! Hope the weather gods are shinin on us!

Blue Rock generally doesn't like too much rain... with the old layout (bout 6-7 years ago), the bloody track used to get washed down into the gully! It's a heap better these days since it winds down the hill instead of going straight up & down it.
-
Viper79, I suggest you go back thru last years diary. We held the 1st round & it wasnt raining, Traralgon was the round that was cancelled !! The Gippys were held at Traralgon weekend just gone, & they had no rain on Sunday until the last round, which was minimul, from what I heard. I'll remember you at Signin if you have entered.
-
2 Shocks, I have removed my comment as I now see it could have been taken the wrong way, that was not my intention. I was just after some feed back on what the track might be like on the weekend. I have my fathers 80th on the sat night and I have to decide whether to ride or stay at his party.
Regards

I was going to say the track was pretty mint for VIPER round 1 last year. It was blazing May sunshine from memory..
I'm out also. I haven't been on a bike since Corner Inlet, and I don't think the bike is ready either! Looking like Ravenswood VCM for me.
-
Viper79, my apologies also, if my comments were also taken the wrong way, that was also, not my intentions. I'm really a nice person, I think.
If you decide to come up and ride on Sunday, no problems, I'll do your entry on the day. Best Wishes to your Dad on his 80th Birthday, you can party & come to Viper too you know, bring your dad along, you can both share the hangover together!
Will have a track report maybe tomorrow, will keep you posted.
Mrs Maico #54 :)

I'm sorry but I'm out....Lots of reasons, funds being probably the biggest at the moment. Six weeks of no income didn't help! Hope you have a lot of fun and take care out there ;)
We will miss you Ross ! totally understand the financial thing after 6 weeks mate.
Looking Forward to the Track report too Mrs Maico :D
-
Thanks Mrs Maico. I had no doubt about you being a nice person, judging on the the couple of times that I have spoken to you. If you are prepared to do my entry on the day that would be great, I really want to ride this track I have heard so much about it but have never ridden it. I don't know about the party and ride idea though! My body has a hard time coping with riding let alone partying the night before.

How about we chip in for Rossco to enter and some rocket fuel for his Monty.. I am in.. we can have the entry done on the day Rossco.. one off special treatment for the 414 machine.. how about it? An extra few bucks from a few us and i will bring some Good fuel, you bring your crutches, wheel chair and your 2 smoke oil and you can ride? 8) If that eliminates the factor stopping you from riding Rossco?
-
Viper 79, you are the man ! Email your entry classes to & will pencil you in. Will be at the track on Saturday arvo, so let me know early. Let me know if you have a licence no etc. Glad all is forgiven :)
Mrs Maico #54
-
Hey Rosscoe, your entry is covered, I got fuel & oil & if your poxy old Monty is not up to it, I've got a poxy Old 490 Maico you can ride ! I owe you for the T Shirt, now we are square.

Hello Boys,
Big Ken was there yesterday, track was wet, and yes, it will be muddy. There are a few puddles around, the section out the front of the canteen is a shocker, but thats always been a problem. The sun was shining tho, when he was there & the wind was blowing & the rain clouds seemed to be going around the track, so one can only hope that this has continued, but no guarantee, so pack the rain coat & the gumboots. The grader man was there also yesterday & he was surprised from what I hear, that the track actually wasnt as bad as he would have thought, but he was doing his best to tidy up for the event tomorrow. Please make sure you have back no's & something to clean the numbers on your bikes between events. I have received no more than 40 entries, one can only hope we get a few more on the day to make it viable for the club. See you all in the morning.

a mudfest tomorrow then.
40 entries is very low !
-
How did it all go down, folks? How did the track hold up?
-
Just as the track looked like it was showing some signs of just coming good, the rain clouds made their mark. So much to the disappointment of some & the delight of others, a vote was taken at the end of the lunchbreak, & the vote was put forward, who wanted to continue racing & who wanted to go home & the majority won, so the meeting was abandoned. 19 of the 38 races were completed, apologies to the few Evo 45's +, which werent aware that they had combined the Evo 35-39 with the Evo 40-44yrs, hence a few didnt make it to the startline. The track proved a challenge in some places, especially out the front of the canteen, which claimed a few victims, not to mention YZ Hilly, (hope your chief photographer got a happy snap of that for the album ) but my vote goes to Tania Yeomanson, No 99. It was a struggle getting up, then down & back up again, but she still came back smiling. And as for Hoonies Honda, I hope the rebuild isnt to expensive. Father Noel, we hope you are OK also after a nasty crash. Winners on the day, Alan Riha, Darren Schenk (Jnrs) Grant Hoghton, Simon Healy, Angus McIntosh (Open all powers), Arno Frank, One of the Whittle Boys (even after they destroyed a couple of dad bikes), Heath McDonald, Darren McMullen, Arno Frank & Grant Dodd.

Well done to the Blue rock team in trying conditions and well done to everyone who completed a lap .It was very tricky on the track and i'm a bit sore after tripping up at the top of the track ,But no bones broken ,just bruised and mild concussion . Ive got a couple of pics i will post up tonight.
-
Hilly hit the track badly and head first. when i asked him how he was, he replied
"there was birds flying inside my helmet" (like the cartoons) he is now known as "The Birdman of Blue Rock"
he also ended up with bruised ribs which saw the end of his day.
many thanks to the Blue rock club and the local CFA for flag duties on a very cold and showery day. the track was grouse even though it was wet. Good to catch up with the many top blokes involved in VIPER.
i enjoyed myself even though my bike put the crank through the bottom of the cases and i have a fist sized hole under the engine (i will post up pics when i get it on the bench later in the week)
Anyone know of a set of 1985 or 86 CR500RF/RG crankcases and a crank ?
-
hilly what sorta bird doves or seagull s lol

I saw Hoonys 500 let go with a lot of noise and a bigger cloud of smoke! He was having a good race up till then. I even thought he was going to try and kick her over to see if she would fire up.

Here's Hoony before he blew his engine .(http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb130/yzhilly/HoonyatBlueRock.jpg)and this is after and Clarkey helping Tanya out of the Mudand this is after and Clarkey helping Tanya out of the Mud (http://[/url)(http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb130/yzhilly/HoonyClarkeyTanya.jpg)

Tanya Rode well, that track would have been real hard going on a 125 in the mud.
Tanya is up the pointy end in the Pre 90 series. good to see Alex back on a bike too.
