DREMEL - certainly cost a lot less and can do the same job I would think.

We had one like this in the bike shop I owned, air operated, good bit of kit but no right angle, got it from the local bearing shop from memory :)

Thanks RoVi and Smed, was looking for something that could do transfer ports -- so needs to have 90 deg head (I think)

I have one and it is ok. Just be carefull with the tunsten burrs as they bite and chatter then brake.
-
Handy for cheap home dental repairs too ;D PS that's break not brake Sleepy

ive found old round and square files heated and bent to shape are great for doing transfer ports though no good on the hard cast in liner as the heat softens the files. yeah you need the angle drive for the transfers the get the duct angle right. wd40 is good on the cutters and stops the alloy loading up in the corse cutters ;)

Thanks, hit the BUY button -- and also hit buy on carbide bits from China -- 10 in a packet for $13 -- see how they go ::)

Just be careful with the collet sizes. I broke a collet in the set I bought and they are available but not cheap. Something like $25 each. Apparently there is a difference between 3mm and 1/8 shaft size (other than .175mm)

Thanks Fred, the 2 little pencil grinders have arrived - they each have one of each size collet, would not have thought they were different sizes - forewarned is good
still waiting on the carbide bits - slow boat from China
& do not read instructions till something goes wrong ::)
