sometimes pays to make a phone call. Need a really small part for my YZB - best price from the US $8 + $35 postage!!!!! - rang the local dealer - from eastern states here Wednesday $2.51!! Gotta be happy with that.

Apparently someone at Yamaha Aust has woken up to the fact that their greed was causing them to miss out on a lot of business - been a number of stories like this recently.
That said, I still got stung for nearly $100 for an axle adjuster block and nut from them. Would have been about $35 inc delivery from the USA....

It"s swings and round about at the moment with most Vintage MX stuff across the board ... do your research first.

I have to jump into this one, I recently finished a XT trail bike restoration (I know) and found Cully's Yamaha to be very user friendly, if they couldn't source the part I was after they had no problem putting me onto a east coast dealer that showed stock - might be worth trying next time?
