Title: Where do I get my suspension revamped
Post by: kurraboy on January 09, 2016, 09:35:08 pm
Hi,
The suspenders on my 84 Cr250 has seen better days and both front and back are real soft and mushy.
Can anyone recommend someone who won't cost the earth that can give my forks and shock a new life?
Cheers
James

OK - know where to go in WA but can't help you there.  If looking for a new shock try Works Performance.

If there's no re-chroming required, any competent bike shop could do it. There's nothing difficult in them (although the shock can be a bit of a PITA thanks to Honda's funny linkage ratios).

Rough prices:
Fork bushes, $50.
Fork seals, $40.
Fork oil, $30.
Shock seal, $75.
Shock oil, $30.
Fork springs, $200.
Shock spring, $180.
Cartridge emulators, $200.
Gold valve for shock, $200.

The last four might look like a lot of "unnecessary" expense, but are worth every penny for a race bike.
