Why do you like to race big bore bikes, or why do you like to race small bore bikes.
what sign race bike do you prefer and why.

Small bores to embarrass the big bores!!

Small. I'm way to unfit and talentless to ride a big bike fast for a whole race...

I was always a 250 rider, now I love the xtra power of the 400...and find I want more ....possibly cos my diet of moderns is the 300 kato. the 510 provides more in bucket fulls.. so now loving the big bores. years ago I rode an 84 cr 500 husky that was road registered, put me off big bores at the time as did all the 500 4 bangers from Honda and Yamaha...just awfull. couldn't believe how good a 250 twoie was c/w the big fourstrokes...

Growing up on early YZ80s, I never understood "short shifting". So I preferred 125s when I went to full size bikes.
Now I'm old and used to modern 4 strokes, I have a hard time keeping an old school 125 "on the boil". :o
I'm still thinking about a YZ465 as I'm hoping it will be easier, in one way, to cut laps on. Also two riding mates have CR480/500. :)

similar to Husky - I was always a 250 rider - could never afford a big bore anyway - but now after having a CR250 and now the YZ360 find the YZ 360 so much easier to ride and faster - probably not a true big bore but heading that way ;D

125 bikes , for the reason you can ride them at 110 percent
make a mistake in a gear change and its all over red rover:-)
They are a fun bike to ride
l also enjoy Rding big bore 4 strokes for thier shear grunt and braking
in corners....

there is absolutely no doubt that the sheer fun of flogging the crap out of a 125 / 250 without being hurled into the scrub at high speed is one of motorcycling's joys. ive found its not advisable to wring out a big bore like that unless there is a long distance between yourself and the next change of direction. throttle control is the key but have excess power on tap to slip the back wheel out sideways or loft the front at will becomes quite addictive.
