Title: XL250 colour?

Can anyone tell me the colour code for the silver paint used on the 72-73 Honda XL250 Motorsport, or the colour code/name of a close match from a car?

I looked up my info and could only find reference to Duplicolor T178 silver.
I don't know how close this is to original or where to source it,but it may be a starting point for you

Got 2 elsinore tanks getting done at the moment and did a xl 350 last yr. I think we use ford telstar 83/84 silver in spies hecker brand. I will have to double check though. Its a common silver though.

yep the Ford silver is what we used.

Go to the site cmsnl.com and download the honda service bulletin the paint finish is called Custom Silver Metallic.... I don't know if it's still available but check with a honda dealer. The other colors are Matt Black, Flat Black and Super High Temp Flat Black for the exhaust the Maroon color are decals and a look around the web might find them.. I have notice that people are placing the gold wings on them instead now a days that came with the 1984- bikes...
