Anchoring large boats?

They do go well.

Interesting. The one I rode had four broken rear spokes...
It's owner is 120kg, and he still hasn't replaced them...

I had one for a short period of time, engine pulled very well for a rough old girl. Could set one up as a good adventure bike.

I worked at a bike shop in cairns and a bloke bought a spanker back years ago. with very few kms on the clock he clips a low lying rock with the sump plug and in a very short time he had a very expensive rolling frame...

I have nearly gone done this path several times including recently,,,,
for the sake of an affordable Adventure tourer,,,
But I have always feared their biggest problem,, the famous
Catastrophic Doohickey failure

that model had faulty stators when they 1st came out and the fault was not removing the varnish off the 3 phrase alternator where the star connection were joined by a crimp on joiner and could have been fixed easily by just soldering the 3 wires together but since they all failed when nearly new the stators were replaced under warranty other then that they were a good bike

I seem to recall a pretty big thread on ADVrider where someone set up and modernized one for that in last year or two.

You've got that stuff?! I tore my shed apart last week looking for it!  ;)

Here's a KLX650R having a quick wash at the Dakar Rally in 1996 or so:
