Hey Thanks for that Paul.

12-14 K  fork that's waaaay too pricey though and for that i dare say it will stay in storage for a bit longer.

If a YZ465 happened to be available in complete running condition, original unrestored, how much cash is your mate willing to part with?

that would be a matter for him and the current owner to decide, it all depends on condition etc, these things are consider on the merit of each bike as you know.

How long is a piece of string ? twice the distance from the middle to one end

It was actually quite funny watching everyone burr up and get the sh1ts with each other.  I still can't bring myself to ask.  I think the whole environment has changed (IMHO) since that post and they are now worth considerably more.  What number I am not going to say.
OOOOOHHHH  OK - how much is one worth ???  There you go - I've done it !!
In my view we arrived at between 750 and 850 for a basket case (complete), but as I said I think the environment has changed since then.

Cheers ;)

IIRC: yz1974 went and looked at the 'new' YZ465J (yes, that's how it was advertised), and decided that it was very nice but not new. There were several wrong parts on it, including fork boots and tyres suggesting it was a resto (or partial resto), and it therefore wasn't worth the asking price.

And sorry, I don't have one nor know of one.

SOMEONE UP NORTH   ADVERTISED A 465 AND SOME ASKED WHAT WAS IT WORTH  AND IT WENT ON FROM THERE  I THINK THE OTHER SO CALLED NEW BIKE WAS A SEPARATE ISSUE
