Title: CR250 lower chain roller
Post by: Rossvickicampbell on November 13, 2015, 03:56:36 pm
Gents - just after a second opinion - do you think this has been bent skew - has a few battle scars anyway?  Because it certainly won't line up the roller with chain flow as it is???  Cracked paint and position makes me think so but wanted to make sure I haven't missed something and take to it with some heat?

Yep Rosco, should run pretty close to parallel to the torque arm, looks to be bent & twisted :'(

Yep, looks way bent to me too. It's not going to do any good if it doesn't line up with chain Rossco

exactly - but was wondering if there was something - bush, spacer etc - missing.  Have taken to it with the heat gun and now sits a lot better - and roller lines up now - so all good I hope.

thanks guys.

looks bent Ross... are you running the mugen swingarm with the roller in the standard position?
I purchased a roller set up from Phil Denton in England on my CR, as I have a Thor swingarm and it brings the roller too close to the swingarm.
The set up I purchased brings the roller down into a better position. Really nicely made, and utilises the standard bracket as you have shown.

S - running a KLP Fox swingarm and so need the lowering kit that comes with it - that part is all good.  Much better now I have lined things up - just a bit of race rash I suppose happened  ;D
