The 2016 Post Classic MX Championship will be held at Harrisville Queensland on July 23/24

Glad someone has been willing to step up and make this happen.
Who is the promoter/host club?
-
Brisbane Motorcycle Club.
-
Mmmm interesting.
-
Could make a good holiday for some of us West Aussies if one can afford the time. 3 big events in just over 7 weeks! Would have been good if the dates were a bit closer though. But never the less,
good on you Queenslanders for getting behind it and making it happen!
-
Here's the go Nic
Ship bikes to Harrisville in time for CD12, we'll get the bikes to and from Connondale at no cost, do the CMX the following weekend at Harrisville, fly home and we'll store your bikes. Fly back a month later for the PCMX then ship the bikes home. Beautifull weather here in June/July, miserable and cold elsewhere.
-
Sounds like a good plan Col. I will float the idea past all the people who are not on the forum.
Great offer could work well.
Cheers
Nick
-
What about the Conondale Classic the best event of the year on early August EVERY year run by QVMX? What the ? Why are these events so close ? Both events will suffer as most people will only go to one event two weeks apart.
-
Age classes will be a feature of Pre85 and Pre90, as well of course the current inclusion of age racing in Evolution
-
sidecars will be there en-force.
-
Well done Graeme ("same old dirt") Topic. Let's work on the positives with some great opportunities for all riders in the vmx movement to enjoy a great 2016.
Happy new year and safe riding
-
Sup regs are now approved and entries open on Nominate in a day or so. $110 incl one class, extra classes each $10, camping on site
-
Hi Col,
Excuse my ignorance be t how can you runage classes in anything other than pre 75 and ego, when it's not in the moms and it's a national championship?
Regards
Kim
-
Age scoring in other than Evo will be as support. Evo of course will be as listed in the MOMS
-
Oh ok thanks for the clarification Col.
Will be great to see the masses mixing it up.
Cheers

Appropriate?

Entries rolling in already, and following the success of the Classics last weekend it'll be a big one
-
Yip get thoughts entrys in, after the record number of riders and bikes the CLASSIC AUSSIE TITLES drew , be a shame for the post classic side to let the team down
-
Looks like a very popular date the 23-24 July , be great to see the interstaters at the AUSSIE TITLES , the one and only prestigious event.

Have you even checked the results. Only 1/3 of the races had enough riders turn up to compete for an Australian Title

Really Ted, you should have come and made up some numbers then.Things a bit quiet mate no Linsdale prize money this year I see
-
Ted every bike class including sidecars qualified as Australian Championships under the MOMS, as did 50-59 and 60+ age groups.
Class numbers entered were Pre75 250cc--44, Pre75 263+--43, Pre70 263+--19, Pre65 263+--13, Superseniors 11,. Pre75 250 50-59 -27, Pre78 250cc - 22, Pre75 263+ 60yrs+ - 15, Pre60 AP 9, 4str AP 18, etc etc.
Over the 123 entries we did have 11 no shows, mainly health or bike issues.
I'm sure you have trawled through Mylaps to find as many negatives as possible, but the facts remain all bike classes enjoyed championship status, plus also 50-59 and 60+ age groups
-
Every Australian classic and Post Classic mx championships have been successful in my opinion, regardless of competitor numbers. Why????? Because it is a bringing together of enthusiastic like minded souls to who enjoy the camaraderie, atmosphere and there sheer joy that these old bikes give us. Let's try and find the reasons to support this sport instead of find ways to criticise. No malice intended in my comments, merely my observations. :)

Entries close in just over a week

Seems I wasted my time with this post. What does it matter who occupies the Key official roles so long as they are willing and able to perform their duties and are L4. Bigger things going on in the world guys. Get over it.

I don't get it, when the championship split, we were told the Classic part was dead. Yet they continue to thrive, through sheer enjoyment of the sport. But the Post Classic which was going to be bigger and better has suffered from so much in fighting it's like a kindergarten out of control and to worry about who the steward is going to be is the old hold my breath stamp my feet syndrome. The only thing I do know is those who raced in the classic champs and have post classic bikes will be there including Nick Fitzgerald from WA who sent three bikes over with his classic Bikes and left them there to race in this championship. But once again all I've heard is people knocking what can be a great event.
Get off your arses and support your sport. We do in WA and we have just as much politicing but not a very large kindergarten!!!!!

well said

For anyone whose wellbeing depends on knowing who the Steward is, it is Lindsay Grainger. If more information is needed he is the retired General Manager of MQ, consultant to the MA Board, Level 4 of many years standing, the guy who stepped up when MQ saved the 2013 Classics. He is also an accomplished sailor currently sailng a Young 88 NZ designed 30 footer. If more information needed just ask. Clerk of Course is Christopher Walker who was instrumental in the successfull running of the recent Classics. We have a team which will ensure an enjoyable and successfull Post Classics.
For those concerned about the future of the Evolution class, there are 82 Evo bikes entered for the Post Classics and not a Tedmax in sight
-
How are the 125's class's Col..get a good grid ??
love the zingers !!
GO the WEST AUSSIES
-
Yes the 125s are good fun. 17 in 125 Evo, 13 in Pre85 and 17 in Pre90
9 sidecars which is good to see.

Saturday's results on mylaps.com
Go the west aussie 8) 8) :D

Great event at a great track. Excellent weather and fantastic smiles everywhere. Thanks to BMCC for taking it on and doing a good job.
No helicopters necessary this event too???? A couple of ambulance trips were required with the injured parties on Saturday smiling the next day when seen at the track. Hope the young bloke who was hurt in the sidecars on Sunday recovers quickly.
Next event to get ready for is the Conondale Classic. Should be a ripper.
-
Young fella on Sunday was marshal shaw. They kept him in over night let him out today at 11 am he's ok with bit of concussion and a ticked off wife.

You know Popeye that your crash was a big'en as well, watched you exit stage right at a reasonable level of difficulty also :)
how you got on the next day I have no idea and then the best start Ive ever seen - only to have the race red flagged when Marshal decided to get off and lay down for a while....
Good to see so many chairs at the meeting - was a great site and sound to see fill grids of them.
-
Dropped into the Post Classic touring team & heard the Nat News.
Big shoutout to Popeye for his ongoing support of our West Aussies.Always a ride if your over this way Mr Cooper.
