I was just cleaning-up the wiring on the RM80B that I am rebuilding; I have found about 4" of blue/white coming out of the CDI, anyone know if that was original or maybe a rev-limiter mod back in the day?
-
On my B, the white lead with blue stripe runs from the cdi into the coil. Not sure what it does... There is also a blue wire with a white stripe going from cdi to stator.. not sure what that does either but thats how they run...
Cheers,
Alex

Here are a few pics of the B coil and cdi showing the relationship of the white and blue wire.

Hi John,
Your guess could be right. I was told back in the day to unplug or cut the blue wire for more revs on the old RM100

Thanks Guy's :-)
There was a post on here back in 2007, someone mentioned exactly the same thing on their RM80B.
