Title: Need a kicker for a 1980 PE175
Post by: fred99999au on October 29, 2015, 09:53:32 am
Hi All. My mate lost his kick lever for his 1980 PE175 at Stratford.

Bloody girls blouse hasn't done anything about it since and I can only find 2 on feebay for over $100 each.

Anyone have a cheaper option or model crossover that can work on this bike?

I'm trying to get blouseboy to Tallarook.

Cheaper option = push start. Works (almost) every time.  ;) As an added incentive you could offer to assist your mate with push starting for the duration of the event.

Thanks Tex, I knew I could count on you for a 100% accurate answer that provided no assistance whatsoever.

We actually did this on the Sunday at Stratford on the bush loop, but are not too keen about replicating it.

Fred have a look at Motoduro they have them.  The only thing is 1. Its $58 +DEL. ? , 2. Its in England therefore it wont be here in time.

I like the push start technique, says he who didnt get off his arse to help.

Do you know if the 175 starter is the same as the 250/400 items?

Andrew L. that might be an idea. I dont know if blouseboy is coming yet though, but I might try and measure his shaft during the week and see if it is the same size.

Righto gents, fire away.

The first half of the part number is the same which might mean the spline size is the same.
