Why would you sleeve a cylinder that the factory designed to be plated ?

Much better option

Indeed resleeving a cylinder designed for nicasil will ping when it gets hot everytime.

Plated? Has a cast iron sleeve? I thought it was to old for plating etc will look into it. Thanks

Yep plate over the iron, Some OEM sleeves of that era are cast in(or around is a better word) to help with heat transfer, plate over the iron back to a readily available size of piston

I stand corrected about the sleeve  :-[ RM 250s from 1987 were plated and I assumed incorrectly it seems that 125s would be the same  :)
