Title: Blue Swingarms
Post by: LWC82PE on October 21, 2015, 07:08:50 pm
Just in case anyone wanted proof that blue anodized swingarms existed back in the day.

I reckon you should warranty your stuff for "8 months" Geoff. J

"Crotch Rocket Factory" didn't achieve the same longevity as "Flying Machine Factory".

The plethora of aftermarket companies really struggled as the MX bikes became so effective stock.

What's the story with "DG"?
They were the "Pro Circuit" of the '70s. Seemed to disappear. Now, have they dragged out the pipe stamps for some popular VMX bikes? Or are the pipes NOS?

You can read about the history of DG online if you do a search but basically around 1982ish the company was sold and new owners bought it and then they focused mostly on the ATV and PWC market. through the 90's

I have the 1995 DG catalogue and all the vintage pipes for dirt bikes were still being sold then. Its not like they just started making the pipes again in the 2000's

I also have got the 80 or 81 full CRF catalogue. I did not know they existed in 78 till i found that swingarm ad. I thought the 8 month warranty was odd too. Who knows how they came up with that.
