Title: Tapered steering bearing conversion
Post by: skypig on September 06, 2015, 01:29:05 am
I bought an All Balls kit for my RM125X
Instructions include: turning down the stem!

Can the stem be pressed out? Or do you need a lathe big enough to spin the bottom triple clamp (scary propersition)

Anyone done it?

Many times .Easy peasy with the bottom clamp attached, the clamp goes toward the tailstock

Press stem out through the bottom , apply a little heat first to help it and it will come out without much fuss .
