Will the 77 model chain buffer fit properly/work on the 76 swingarm?

are the part nunbers the same? does the A model part nunber superceed to the B model part nunber?

now i remember  A's were round pipe swingers and B's box section swingers, yeah good chance the buffer aint the same

I got a nos one comming but i need a better long term solution to paying premium prices for a NLA part each time it wears out. Does not look like Hot Foot Moto do them either.

theres a mob where i come from called fillery's antiwear products and they use stuff like those nolathane bushes etc you get for cars so would that be up to the job?
