Does anyone out there have a rusted out or damaged '75, '76 , '77 or '78 Husky frame ? I only need the rear (behind the seat) loop, to repair a '77 CR390 frame that some short-arsed vandal chopped off, so he could touch the ground. My '77 also currently features a cut down '80/'81 seat and rear mudguard from the previous vertically challenged owner. I would rather use a section of tube from another unrepairable frame, as there has already been too many Husky frames cannibalised to fit fourstroke trail-bike engines into. There is a guy in my town with half a dozen '75 and '76 frames , rusting in his back yard, but he is a hoarder and I find him too hard to deal with.

I have a loop from an '80-'82 model if it's any help. There's also a zillion jap frames lying here I could cut something off if close enough is good enough. Funnily, I've never seen a badly rusted Husky frame, that Swedish steel is tough as.

Thanks for the reply, Big K. I have a few '83/'84 rear loops off WR/XC frames, which would be similar to the '80 to '82 rear loops. They have a bit more of a square shape than the rounded section on the back of the earlier frames and probably won't work with the shape of the earlier rear mudguard . I will look at getting some tube bent with a mandrel bender. I still have to organise a rear seat for my ski-boat from you , when I get around to it .

No stress on the seat whenever you're ready.
