Dargle is a tear off free zone so bring your roll off goggles

95 entries and counting three days before the early entry discount finishes so save yourself $10 and get them in
Pre60/65, Pre70 and Pre75 entries should be aware that the woops section has a licenced track bypass so it will be very very early bike friendly. This meetings is also a round of teh Roy East Pre65 & Pre70 series.
Engineered Environments are excited and keen to have good fields in every ERA. 14 Pre65 would be great target and 20 Pre70s is realistic 8)

Dargle is too important for VMX and MX. Should be awesome 8)
Are you going to get out for a look see?
-
Looks like a great event, that format seems to be working really well. Disappointed I can't come with the old twinport as really enjoyed Gloucester and rode Dargle in Thumpernats.
Our numbers are going up each meeting too so things are looking good in vintage land.
-
Was out at the track all weekend putting final touches on it. This will be real old school motocross this weekend, with 2 x 5th gear straights, 27 corners, sand, grass, loam, and some hard packed, we're all going to have our MX brain tested. Can't wait!
-
Are moderns allowed during the rec riding session?
-
Yes with the condition that we have a very large entry (>125 riders) and there will only a couple of hours of Rec riding. VMX bikes will be given priority. 60 bikes on the track at anyone time for rec riding and there are >250 VMX bikes. Will you get value for money? It is hard to say.

Query: Can a campervan stay onsite at the property?
-
Yes campervan are OK $5/night/person fee I am afraid
-
Couple of final details
1) A local RFS will have a canteen going all weekend. Breakfast and lunch Saturday, Breakfast and lunch Sunday.
2) There is virtually zero mobile phone reception at the Dargle track. You need to assume that there is no mobile service.

That's cheapest as chips

DARGLE IS GO , THATS THE TRUTH just back from day trip to Dargle , what an amazing effort by those that have made it happen . Congratulations it is a fantastic venue ;D ;D ;D
-
Perfect weather both days.
Original track restored, re-used and re-cycled, with period bikes.
Bit added to the old track to take it to 1.9 km long. Most of the old up and downs along the sandy hillside with some mud flats stitched in to keep us on our toes.
Great roll up of over 130 racers with approx 2.5 bikes each.
Opening of the track by the cutting of a blue ribbon on the main straight buy the fifth generation land owner.
Many a kind word said by one of the key players in getting Dargle re Cycled Mr Ken Swan # 222.
Couple of free ride laps to the Heaven volunteers who helped in the working bees.
Then into the cup qualifiers and finals. Outstanding day of tough, super fast and slippery racing.
No major damage to rider or machine. (Sunday not so good with Ken Swan having a front on look at his front tyre before popping his shoulder out)
Almost dust free Dargle. End of the finish straight was talcum powder till a good drenching from the sprinkler system saw it turn to oil on glass. Caught about 10 fine riders off guard and sat them all on the ground.
Great roll up of spectators both days. All said they were having a brilliant day remembering the early days or just seeing and smelling the old bikes fly on the super fast Dargle straights. This event even brought one of old Mr Motocrossers out for a day trip look see. Anthony Gunter couldn't pass up a chance to re live the Dargle of old.
Have no doubt the track and the venue will continue grow and provide a huge amount of special memories for people and camp fire racing stories for the years to come.
cheers to all those who made it happen. should be proud of what you have achieved.

Massive thanks to everyone who made that happen! A few of the volunteers were looking quite weary on Saturday morning - Kenneth and Middo particularly - I shudder to think of how much time and effort they'd put in...
Great to see so many past members re-appear, and so many new faces.
Very physical track, that I don't think anyone could say they'd mastered. Everything from flat out straights, to first gear sandy corners. Slippery mud holes to lovely deep heavy sand to bulldust - sometimes in the same corner!
-
Dargyl for NSW classic dirt?? great track first visited for 91 Nats.

The Bruce 'Magoo' McFarlane shield teams event was run at Dargle with 10 teams entered. 30 riders battled it out for the honour of being presented with the impressive perpetual trophy. Anne McFarlane presented the trophy and Bruce's brother and sister inlaw were also their to see the event run and won.

It is good to see Swannie winning the MX De VMX, or The Bruce 'Magoo' McFarlane shield.
He deserved it, after all his work on getting the track up and running, and then banging up his shoulder too.
Those last three races were the most hectic, and hard fought over, of the whole great weekend.
The event had a great campground atmosphere with lots of 'refreshment' drinks and many new, and old, faces turning up to have a crack at this historic track. I'm sure this will foster some fresh members to join up.
ps I've got a few sore blisters on my hands just like the old days, that track tests you out. Anyone else got 'em?
Thanks to all the Heaven committee!

Thanks for the nice words Macca. I am stoked for our team to win it, it's a prestige prize I am proud to have my name on. I lucked out with a great team. Great to see and race with Gordon Bell again after 32 years! And Jeremy Ignacz, What a gun rider.
Round 5 provisional Point Score is now up on the website http://www.heavenvmx.com.au/2015-heaven-vmx-member-log-in/
