Hi,
Does anyone know if there is anyone doing plastic tank restorations in Aust, preferably East Seaboard ?
-
Richard one of our riders sands them to they look like NOS, just hard work
-
If you do find someone, I'd be keen to know.
I'd like to find someone who can make white tanks, white again, rather than dull yellow.
-
Its not hard to do, just time consumung, plenty of info on here. There's a guy on the vmx restorers group on facebook who does it, not sure how much he charges though.
You won't get the yellow out of a white tank, it's fuel and oil staining that is all the way through the plastic.

Hi Paulos & bazza,
Understand it can be done just takes time, patience & a bit of hard work. At the moment I am time poor, so I was looking to see if I could afford to pay someone to do it for me.
Thanks for you advise.

I'll send you a blokes number from Melbourne who ever he gets to do it does a great job
