Bit of a dill question but where can you get a sheet of dark green vinyl for the number plate backgrounds for 250cc MX numbers in Brisbane. Tried Team Moto at Bowen Hills but they no longer stock green vinyl.

Probably simpler to fit readymade green plates - I'm pretty sure Don Newell stocks them. Shouldn't be too expensive. Unless you're much neater than me, the vinyl looks pretty crappy with a bit of wear.

For the Qld Classic Titles I spent three nights hand painting all three number plates with enamel paint. The drive from home to the track on Saturday had more than half of the paint peel off as a skin.
By the end of the weekend, the number plates looked like Niki Lauda's face an hour after his famous crash.
I already have green number plates which are Kawasaki light green, but I thought for Evo 250 it had to be dark green, hence the vinyl request.
By the way, 1979 KX125 side plates fit perfectly on the KLX.

the people that do car vinyl wrapping or a print shop should be able to help, just a hint use a spray bottle with soapy water when applying stops the wrinkles.

I got a printer to make up mine with my number on them. Any printer should be able to do it, just give the the dimensions.

Tried the Sign-a-rama in Brisbane CBD and they wanted $85 for setup costs and then $20 for each number panel. I thought that they probably weren't that keen on getting some income for their offcuts. Their loss.

Kustom mx in Queensland , they quote their decals stick like shit to a blanket and I can assure you its top quality and they ain't coming off in a hurry.

You won't get the dark green in the normal stuff you get from a hardware. Lime green only. However the sign writing places can get the thicker stuff.
Try Mark Thomas at SixNine designs at Kallangur. He was a MXers and if he won't just sell you the material could do you plate and side cover backgrounds at a reasonable price.

I got some from graffiti signs on the gold coast, they sold me a piece 1m x .5m for about $10

I've had no problems buying the correct Dark Green colour background from sign shops. Avery (brand) "Forest Green" (colour) looks spot on. The last piece I bought was a sheet about 1.2m x 0.5m and cost me $20 from my local sign shop.

Any bike shop can get them in from MSC. About $20 a sheet. They are listed in the MSC catalog. Takes only a day or two to come in once ordered.
