Title: 82 XL500 forks

Got a good useable set of 37mm XL500 forks. $35
please ask if you need more details but basically they are only this cheap because they are in the way taking up space and i just want to get rid of them. Will be posted partly disassembled.
I also have some 82 XR500 triples too.

Still for sale. Buyer wanted XR forks. Mine are XL as far as i know.

I found out these are XR forks after all. Previous owner must of upgraded to them. I found out when looking at the drawings of the sliders on CMS, plus they just seemed too long/too much travel to be XL forks.

I pulled one apart to measure in MM

slider from axle hole to top - 355
exposed chrome (from top edge of slider) fully extended - 581-582
exposed chrome (from top edge of slider)  when fully bottomed - 333-334

total length of fork extended (axle to top of inner) - 936 - 937
travel in mm - 247-249
travel in inches - 9.724 - 9.803

damper rod length from under the piston/head to base is 305mm
total tip to tip length of chrome inner rube is 752mm

Fork caps have ugly external damage but i got some DG caps that fit these forks.

I'll take the forks and matching triples,they'll be an improvement on the skinny forks they put on my xr200a

Forks are SOLD

I still have the triples and the DG fork caps though.
