Hey Ted
Not interested in a D 77
-
A good mate asked me to find his mate a C today. I will confirm if that is what he is after. Apparently he raced one back in the day. The money is sitting there, just need to find out if he wants a project or a runner.

According to YAMAHA , C and X are 1976. 1975 is B.
I only care about Suzuki in that class ;D
-
I don't care about Yamaha 125s either.
I think you will find YZ125C was '75 in Australia , NZ, SA and Europe while in the US they are 1976 models.
Much the same as YZ250/360B is a '74 model in Australia & Europe while it is a '75 model in the US.
My brother owned a YZ125C in very early 1975 (the second one in our club at the time) because it was so much faster than the RM125 (which was quickly replaced by the much faster RM125S). The YZ125X was available very late '75 ('76 model year) in Australia and then replaced by YZ125D in late '76 which was the '77 model.
I am sure you know better so I'll leave it at that.

I dont know Yamaha. Apparently they always blow up... Ha
-
YZ125C was a 1975 model.
When the rest of the Yamaha range was brought out in 1976 as "C" models, the new 1976 YZ125 was called the YZ125X so that all the model designations would line up again in 1977 - the D models.
-
75 Yamahas were YZ125c mx250b mx400b
76 Yamaha were YZ125x YZ250c YZ400c
77 all Ds

who gives a shit...
its a pre~78 jobby and theres still heaps of parts available for em...
-
Was there ever a B model? And the only difference between C and X is the forks?
-
The B was a white A.
Changes from a C to an X:
34mm carb;
Longer swingarm with chain tensioner;
Longer shock;
Forks & triples;
520 chain & sprockets (inc rear sprocket becoming flat rather than dished);
Rear hub (to suit flat sprocket)
Barrel and head;
Bigger stinger on exhaust;
Ignition & ignition cover;
Beefed up frame around rear engine mounts;
Better footpegs mounts;
Slightly bigger footpegs;
Front guard has cut outs to clear the fork boots;
Colour.

I have a 76 yzc125 roller frame with a 125DT motor, a spare YZ125 motor and a other bits that might fit it .... cheap. (well enough to cover the price of the wheels and forks if i used them for other projects or maybe would swap for A parts or cash)
-
i JUST SOLD an A and a B recently exactly the same except the serial start with a 1.... and the B was yellow the A was silver.
the c's i have previously sold have been white and red.
-
Also have another a YZA125A apart for sale and maybe a 250A as well, stack of DT250s for pre and post 70 class. and aKwaka 125 motor assume its a 74.KE if anyone keen to get it out my shed. PE steal Tank and all matter of TM small stuff in a box.
