Title: A heart warming story....not.
Post by: evo550 on May 24, 2015, 09:24:25 am
So, I'm on the look out for a ATK 406 and spotted this on ebay for a nice $900 usd, so I contacted a dealer in the U.S. who also advertised a world wide shipping service to discuss getting this bike to Australia, but unfortunately within an hour it was sold...bugger I thought, back to the drawing board.

About a day later I went back onto this U.S. dealers website to see what else they had up for grabs and low and behold they where advertising a ATK 406 "Coming soon"....Hmmmmm
NEK MINIT...BANG.... $2950usd and not a spotters fee in sight..

Not only is that the same bike but it's had a lot of work done to it.
I rekon the guy posted it up , got no interest and stripped and rebuilt it forgetting that the advert was still running.
The frame has been resprayed , the shock looks to have been stripped and cleaned up ect.
Check the rims and spokes.
If you can buy something to clean wheels/shocks up that good , in a can , where can I get some.

The 'Dean USA' swingarm stickers seem to have the same scratches through them however the barn find one appears to have a weld right in front of the sticker

Ambiguous comment, maybe you should be writing rules.

Rules for stickers? ;D yeah I could write those

Ambiguous because I had one comment for them being the same and one comment for them being different? I thought I was being more of a fence sitter

Yeap, I reckon you'd be great at it ;D ;D ;D as I roll on the floor ;D ;D

I'm pretty sure a fence sitters favorite defense is riddled with ambiguities ;D
I have started reading books, got any left Dave? I am serious too,,,,,?

Mick52. The bike in the top photo was for sale on Ebay for $700 u.s. and I wanted to buy it and get it shipped to Aus.
So I promptly emailed a dealer in the U.S. to see if they could ship it for me to which I attached the Ebay link.
Instead of helping me with shipping they just bought the bike, sprayed it with silver frosting and listed it for $2950.
Fcukin GRUB...but I'm happy I gots me another one and it's coming via a good old Aussie mob....
