will your finger be good wally? (q 1)will you bring out your rt 360 on saturday for the 25 lapper? (q 2)you may get pole postion if you are pulled out off the hat.( 25 pre entries 1st up). if you get pole would you sell it? (q 3)how good would it be too sell pole postion plus a couple of metres forward of the starting line for a charity, and this year a local charity.how good was it a couple a years ago when we rode for the cancer council for Ron Hurdis, Lisa Richters and Herb Conlon(top job to Brad Fisher).two have gone and it has hit our sport in many ways.let`s hope Herb will take up the postion of clerk of the course/steward.
wally will you bring out your slider on sunday?(q 4)
if so i think you maybe up against black betty and co!
my answer to (q 3) if you are in front i will buy it and the money goes to the charity.
regards mick.

yes mick i will be there ! ready to do battle. the rti on saturday & no you cant have it plus the rattley smokey slider will be challenging all comers for the first corner on sunday.-- no practice for the slider though because i suspect it is thinking about exploding again after the fun it had alongside that 4 valve rocket machine last time ..indeed how good has this annual charity thing been with bills bonfire on sat'dy night.b-b q & b's##it for all to share .then we will need to start thinking about next years event which will coincide with fifty years of nepean!  its great that we have people like herb and chris and len and bill and all the others behind these events.cheers wally.

jim has a good point wally!does penrith club call it pre 75 but runs up to the next class as there is insufficient numbers.i have seen that in the sidecars. i think last year there was one true pre 75 sidecar no pre 68 it would have been boring watching one sidecar going arounded.so the next question if you can run your slider wally will we see jim out there with you?but the big question and there has been no reply will we see black betty and co?

The Nepean Charity pre '75 event was a great little meeting spoiled only by a less than expected entry roll up. The weather was great, the track in terrific condition, the racing was close and the beer was cold, everything we needed for a great day. Congratualtions to Penrith club for a well run and enjoyable day.
Below are some lo res shots from yesterday. I can't find my program so forgive me for not captioning them. I'll add captions when I find the bloody thing.
below: American vintage racer Michael McCook ( www.mccookracing.com) was in town having a break from business in China and had his first ever dirt track experience on Firkos Maico (clutch shit out!) and Kathleen Atkins trick TS250 Suzuki. He enjoyed himself immensely and loved the Aussie beer!.

Great Photos Firko and Noel. It was a tragedy over in Kamp Kevlar with Jonesys Black Betty frying a gearbox, Ugly Betty misbehaving like one of his teenage daughters and his slider running out of spark, all in practice for fork sake! Then you add Firkos Maico clutch fading off into the sunset and Stanleys CZ blowing a base gasket it seemed their pit was cursed by the god of evil fortune. McCook the American seemed to be a good scout and took all of the Kevlar dramas in good stead. He was seen to be enjoying his first dirt track experience aboard Uncle Rays grand daughters TM Suzuki. All in all it was a great day despite the pissy turnout.

Firko, would that be Mick Hockley on the #45 Maico, I roadraced against him a few years ago at Phillip Island on a 350 Maico of that number, and he's hard as nails in a scrap, if he's a dirt tracker as well, that would explain it.... :D

great shots noel and firko. both of you have a keen eye for that orange triumph rickman number 14 but could you tell me when rickman painted their frames orange? again both of you have a keen eye on the sidecars too noel`s shot looks like the top corner and they look close but take a look at firko`s shot at the speedway corner (?) and they still look close.not many shots off the sliders fellow`s just because black betty and co have problems no need too throw in the towel.
i think i have seen that mick hockley at post classic meetings too when i have flagged again under the numder 45.he must of change the rear wheel to get a smaller sprocket on the rear to give him the speeded he had.
again great photos fellow`s.
we can only hope next year that it can be better and bigger than this year as the track turns 50!!
it`s not as old as some of people who ride it. hey wally!!
