36 or 38 mm on a Magnum 400?

I run a 38mm mikuni flat slide I know its not 'kosher' but it works really good nice spread right from idle to pinned

 Dirt bike mag did a mikuni/magnum 400 article in 79.   38mm mikuni   330 main  6DH3 needle   needle jet  Q-O #166 series  slide 2.5

The Magnum 78/79 is a EVO class bike so the Mikuni flat slide is permitted, even under the proposed QVMX/Heaven rules.  Which may or may not be accepted.
