Title: Yamaha YZ125C gear selector parts
Post by: SimonC on April 22, 2015, 05:29:47 pm
Having finally been reunited with my 125C motor after about 18 months the engine rebuilder tells me that the following parts are missing- Plate, Side 1 (525 18561) and pins 6 of (93604 22050). I have been on to Yamaha, they reckon the pins are available ex Japan, but not looking good for the side plate.

So if anybody has the remains of a 76 YZ125C or X motor lying around and feel inclined to dig these little bits out it would be much appreciated. From the parts lists YZ100 and Ty175 are the same.

Cheers

The genuine pins can probably be safely replaced by machinists dowel pins.
If I remember the Yammy pins are 4 mm. These are available in lengths up to 25 mm, slightly oversize for a tap in fit to the drum and properly hard, from any decent fastener engineers' suppliers.

Thanks for the responses - managed to get the plate and pins from Two Wheel Wreckers in Perth, first time in ages they have been able to find anything I wanted!
